Dunno What Title

Juz came back from my last half day’s work a couple of hours ago. Saw a sandal in Senyum which has a 70% discount on, was supposed to buy but somehow I dun think the pink plastic flower on top of the strap will attach there for long coz of my long skirts and stuff. Ermm nah, dun expect you to understand how and why, nevermind then hahahaha~ Anyway, I need to get a new shoe!! I need a new pair of shoes with strap at the back, for my new job at Cubic. My a-lil-fussy nature is making it hard for me to buy things I want sometimes. Damn but can’t help it hehe.

Btw, got this sms this morning “Hey I dream of you, last9 u went to daniel’s concert. Haha c how much I miss you…bla bla bla” It made me lauf abit thinking of Daniel having a concert. How possible? Btw, some of my colleagues already knew about me resigning coz they heard it from the QA and the team leader..from wherever and whoever, but not from me though hehe. I’m thinking what to get them next week. *pondering*

Anyway, I had an exit interview with my team leader’s head. This is part of the significant lines.

Head: So sudden huh..
Me: Yeah
Head: Where you going? Which company? Bla bla bla…
Me: Bla bla bla…
Head: What do you think of Sudong? When you first came in, were u seeing it long term?
Me: Ermm…part time coz actually I was waiting for HR openings here.
Head: It’s such a waste. I heard that you are quite good at it. ( I wonder who she heard it from)
Me: *all smiles* (who dun smile when kena puji le hahaha)

Will be having I guess my last exit interview on my last day of work there, with the HR ppl. Offer me RM2000 in HR Sudong and I might re-consider. *joking* Duh as if I’m so worth paying RM2000 for juz as another fresh graduate with no experience. Dreaming dreaming…

I can’t wait for the arrival of next week. I will be working on Mon, Wed and Fri. Tue and Thu will be off days for us. On Deepavali, I might be going over to a colleague’s open house in Gemenceh, heard of it but I have no idea where that is, I will juz tag along with my ATL and TL then. Friday is a public holiday in Malaysia but not in Singapore. So that means I need to go to work, but hey....pay will be public holiday, PH rate weh, syiok man!

Then, the 3rd day of raya, which is on Sat, I will most probably be going to KL, woohoo! My dad’s fren is celebrating his birthday. Will be doing my Chinese New Year shopping there too, sounds a lil early but CNY is coming in 2 months time man. Looking forward to that too :) Then I could buy new sandals or shoes in KL as well...wonder if they have nicer and cheaper ones. I’m not used to the way of thinking that price shouldn’t a very big concern anymore since I’m already out earning money on my own. I’m not saying that I can spend freely without giving prices a thought at all. Well, I still need to control my budget and spend within it but only diff is, my budget limit is now wider than before. Guess I have not got used to that yet. I used to think more than twice before buying stuff coz of limited allowance last time. Time for a lil change now man hehe.

Also, I plan to catch up with some frens from the local uni and ex-colleague as well during the holiday. Met up with a good fren of mine last week who came back from Singapore for a few days. We had Sushi King and I never knew Japanese food tastes so nice. But it’s not cheap to have Japanese food though, a bowl of Ramen, I forgot what the name of the ramen is but it costs around RM12 per bowl. Bottom line, not cheap.

Ok...gtg take my nap. Gotta attend a wedding dinner tonight, time for some wine. *Yam Seng* My dad and us would be going like….yammmmm……then in softer tone…‘cha’ (tea). That’s our family thing wahahaha!! You know the other day, I took my dad’s can of beer and drank it abit, and he started giving me that not-so-happy stare. Bleh...as if I’m able to finish up the whole can *tsk tsk tsk* Many say gals should know how to drink, at least abit and I sort of agree with that. Gals were “victimized” by sick men around when they get drunk easily, you get what I mean. My theory, gals who can drink, can go drink their heart out and get drunk and not think about things that are bothering them, whenever they are unhappy over things in life. Yeah, things! Ah, u know la what kind of thing. Eh, ciao now!

A New Found Path
Due to blogspot problem yesterday, let us juz pretend that today is Monday :p

I can now officially start counting down the days to enter another subchapter of my life…14 more days to go :)

*Grins* Oh yeah, I have tendered my resignation letter today and my last day of employment with Sudong Sdn Bhd, as a customer service officer will be on the 4th November 05 (Friday). My last day is supposed to be on the 5th which is a Sat, but I have one day in-lieu so I chose to clear it on that particular day. I have that one day in-lieu coz I was working on one of the Malaysian public holidays.

This paragraph is especially dedicated to those who have been with me throughout my job hunting process, those who have been supporting me in that and also during that time of my pre-depression. Besides I’m not forgetting those of you who had said prayers for me too, to get a job I like and whatever coz I wouldn’t know exactly you’ve done but I do know from the bottom of my heart that you all are alwiz there to lift me up. I dunno how to thank you all anymore and I dun know how I can ever repay you ppl :) THANK YOU SO MUCH!

Now, the main question...where and what is the name of my new company? This is what I’ve been looking for, throughout the whole 4 months man. Hehe...it’s nearer to where I live now, compared to Melaka Raya; also a multinational corporation; 5 days week; a lil impressive job position/function(self perceived case la); no uniform as dress code, reasonable and good (oh yeah) basic salary which will make me a few hundred ringgit richer each month. Oh wow….what more can I ask for man!!! Nothing more and nothing less I tell you. Alrite, dun wan to keep you ppl in suspense for too long. My new company is Cubic Creative Electronics Sdn Bhd in Taman Tasik Utama, Ayer Keroh, near MITC. From 7th Nov onwards, the cubic family will be having another member, that’s me, joining in as a HR-Training Officer. Well, that is not EXACTLY the job title stipulated in the employment contract but I can assure you that it IS that. Erm, I have no idea why they dun include the word ‘training’ in the job title coz that’s what I’ll be handling, also C&B (Compensation and Benefit). Probation will be for a period of 3 months.

I guess no matter what title they put in the contract, as you might agree, the most important thing is not really that, in fact it’s the job responsibilities that counts. I was told that I’ll be coordinating training within the company. It is a not-to-be-neglected HR function, if you were to ask any HR staff out there. If I’m not mistaken, the interviewers did tell me that I might be a trainer in the later phase too, like they would brief me on the materials and I need to then train the rest. I can’t really recall if that’s what they mean, but if it is, I would be really, really glad to be a trainer :)

Maybe I should blog a lil on the interview huh. We arranged the interview date and time, I went for it. The very next day, my immediate supervisor who is also one of the interviewers, called me up to conduct a informal second interview over the phone around 7pm (imagine that) then I got an official call the morning after and was told that I’m successful in getting the job. Finally…finally…I’ve been longing (haha) to hear this for so so so long already, and I heard it then. Wasn’t very very surprise coz during the interview, they asked me what I think is my chance of getting selected, and I laufed and said “ermm can I say 80%...* with the facial expression that says…omg did I juz say that?????* That’s basically the percentage I truly feel I have though..wasn’t trying to blow my own horn or anything.

The reason why I mentioned 80% was becoz coordinating training was what I did back in Vishay Semiconductor, under my supervisor who is responsible for the company training matters. Of coz, I dun know much but I do have some hands-on experience in that field. Plus, I’m interested in becoming a trainer or something on that line. So, I had to make them see that it’s smth that I wish to do in years to come. And I did it!

Anyway, towards the end of that informal second interview (I prefer calling that a ‘phone chat’ coz my immediate supervisor is really friendly and we actually chatted like friends. Serious), I told her I was juz a lil curious to know what my possibility of getting the job was, she said it’s like how I’ve put it, the 80% thingy and after the chat she was happy with my answers and it’s then 90% :) No doubt, my family was very happy for me too. Me? How can I not be???

Soon after hearing the pleasing news, I started to think about my colleagues in Sudong Singtel. I mean, I’m gonna leave everything and everyone in Sudong for my new found path, my new company. The day after, a malay colleague of mine came over to my workstation suddenly and placed a earphone in my ears. Then, all I heard was Mimpi by Daniel Malaysian Idol. She knows I’m a fan of Daniel and she really made me sad by doing such sweet and nice thing to me. She is the one who lent me her hp to listen to Daniel’s radio interview on that one morning too, remember? I call her Lin (azlina)

We’re all on the same boat and therefore, we’re like a family at work. We’d help each other out when we face any issues and problems. Now that I’m leaving *sob sob* I had been beria-ria and bising-bising wanting to ciao and now fate has brought me to it, I gotta embark on that new-found journey as I will not stop chasing after my dreams and I know I have to. I’d surely miss my Chinese female colleague Cynthia, Lin, my ATL and the rest. Sorry for not telling you earlier Cynthia, I juz din know how to break the news to you coz I understand the situation you’re now in. Anyway, I’d miss taking bus home with that Indian colleague too. Separation and changes ain’t easy things in life for us to deal with.

We are only human.

The Enduring Fever
It has been a week since Daniel Lee officially becomes our Malaysian Idol 2. And the fever has yet to subside hehe ;p

Lately my posts are all about Daniel. I pity some of you who couldn’t stand it anymore hahaha. I’m not gonna apologize though hahahahalol *evil* Instead I have to say thank you for putting up with that. I juz have too much to say about my idol. Juz let me man~ Hehehe…

Anyway, from the interview of his on Hitz.fm last Monday morning (I borrowed my fren’s nokia and listen to FM at work with low low volume), a gal mentioned that she felt like crying when Daniel was, once during his audition days. I didn’t. Fyi, I was once a fan of Nita in the early stage of the competition. I watched her in audition but I missed Daniel’s (where the heck was I?), luv her tone, supported her in the workshop and stuff. Then somehow, I diverted my attention to Mr. Daniel ;p Wasn’t so obsessed until he managed to reach Top3 or 4. Then the real hysteria got started man hehe. Last week, me and this Malay colleague of mine had smth in common ie we were almost brought to the verge of joyful tears during the result show. I’m not alone, ppl hahaha!

Found out that my colleague’s husband’s colleagues all go gaga over Daniel too. My assistant team leader ATL, some other malay gals, some frens’ mother, frens’ aunty, frens' sis in law….. are all Daniel’s voting fans! Too many to be named and it’s no lie here. Anyway, I put up 2 Daniel’s pin-ups (interested to have a look?) at my workstation’s partition...well for 4 days only until I had to remove them for my team leader (TL) worried about it for the visitors’ sake. Fyi, I was sitting near the visitor entrance and everything around me will be obvious. (*#@***#) It motivated me to go to work you know, at least I won’t dread to work every morning like I used to. Now that they’re not there anymore (#*$@*#) I’m SO not satisfied about that!! He can’t be my fren meh now? If I say he is my fren, kenot ar? If I say he is my neighbour, also kenot ar? Wahlau weh *Mogok Mogok*

One senior staff of the same department came around my place and saw that pin ups. And he gave me that 2 thumbs down signal and said smth bad about Daniel. Well well, I was being defensive in a pretentiously nice way though coz he is someone I need to refer to if I face any problems in my work in the near future. So I can’t offend anyone there, no way. I dun wish to face any disciplinary action and worse get terminated. I’d still like to keep my job man haha. However, do u think a ’2 thumbs-down sign’ is able to 'win-over' with a ‘2 middle-finger sign’???? I won’t be able to believe it myself if I ever do such thing!! Hmm…maybe I can only do that in my dreams hahaha. This is one sarcastically polite warning advice for that senior “Pls DO NOT insult Daniel...thank you” *with the smile that implies…if you ever gonna say that again, you won’t want to imagine what’s gonna happen to you next, try me and see* Wahahahaha…dun freak out, you all know me well by now, you must not insult my family and close frens, even the Moffats and now Daniel * :-) * Dun worry, I might sound garang haha, acting like a cili padi sometimes, but then you would feel relief when you find out the nice side of me. Hehe..enuf of self-praising now.

Btw, I have a plan. I’m gonna go to KL if he ever gonna have promotional tour there or smth…well if everything goes well. Since I now have frens working in KL, plus my cousin who juz got back from Michigan USA is working in KL too. Cool~ Hope the timing and everything is good then. Hopefully my cam will standby also already by then hehe…

On another note, if you have seen the LP parkster’s comment in the last post, this is my counter comment. I rather comment it here :)

“Fyi, you could juz use that smth called infinity man hahaha :)) Too bad you all will never hear me say I love whoever, whoever like that, eventhough it’s juz for the fun of it…coz I’d only say things when I really mean it…for example I will only say I like whoever whoever if I’m really sure about it, u get the idea? Hehe…but guess what? I sure can say this one…I like to see Daniel, I like to see Daniel kekeke”

Now that Fridays are gonna be dull. *sob sob* I miss watching Malaysian Idol, won’t be seeing them performing anymore, especially…let’s say it out loud together…DANIEL!! I’m so eager to get my hand on his album now, dun worry, I’m sure gonna buy and get him sign on it or smth! I feel young again man, like 14 or 15. Going crazy with all these along with the mostly teenage gals. Sigh haha. Will stop here…till I remember things I missed to post regarding Daniel…Not able to promise no more daniel’s post…ciao *evil grin*
